How accurate is the fee data?
Our data is sourced directly from city building department fee schedules and information bulletins, updated in 2026. Fee estimates include all known fees — plan check, permit, school impact, and trade permits. Always verify final fees with your building department before submitting.
Do I need an account?
No account required to search or get free reports. You'll need to create a free account before paying for a complex report so we can save it and send you data updates.
What cities are covered?
We currently cover Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, Sacramento, Oakland, Long Beach, Anaheim, Irvine, and Fresno. We're adding 40 more California cities in 2026.
Is this legal advice?

What if the data is wrong or outdated?
Every report has a "Flag as outdated" link. If you flag it we review and update the data within 48 hours. Pro and Unlimited subscribers get automatic alerts when permit requirements change in their saved cities.
